Found some muscles I didn't know I had

Monday, September 16, 2013

Here in Colorado it's been raining like crazy for the last week. We've had floods and all sorts of problems. Washed out roads, building being wiped away, all sorts of problems. My office got flooded a bit, but it certainly could have been worse. Thankfully at home we were spared any damage, we live on the third floor.
We've been getting little peaks of sunshine so, that's when people have been going out trying to get stuff done before it down pours again. Yesterday I made it to the gym in one such moment of sunshine. I took a new a dance class they are offering. Oh my, my back is so sort. I'm hoping it's from the workout cause I don't know what else I could have done to make my back this sore. It was so much fun, the class went a bit long, the teacher didn't realize she'd gone over. But it was great, people kept going. I have to say, and it's probably just cause it's different workout, but I found it harder then Zumba. I love Zumba, I will not give it up, but I think I may have found something to add to my workouts.
I've had to switch up what I was able to do the last few days. I did have to take Thursday and Friday off cause the stitches. Thursday because they were fresh and Friday because the Doctor told me I had to. Apparently blood loss and passing out are reasons to miss a workout. He said it probably wouldn't hurt me to take a nice long walk, but he'd rather I didn't. Not really a problem, like I said we've been flooded here for a week, there wasn't anyway to walk to. I can't do anything that requires me to grip with my left hand cause of where the stitches are on the joint. So that means no arm weights. Finger is still a bit sore and it's bruised, but I think it's getting better.
Signed up for a Fall Challenge here on SP, looking forward to that. I think I do better when I have goals in mind. Well Happy Monday everyone and if you live in Colorado let's hope it's a dryer day then it has been.
