Wow, mucho rain!

Monday, September 16, 2013

It has been raining like crazy. But so far we haven't lost power and we were able to watch our games. Woo hoo!.....we do have a leak in the living room way up in the coupala...the highest point in the ceiling. I had to put plastic over our coffee table. When the rain stops we will get our wonderful maintenance man to fix it. It's been so windy and real downpours that I am surprised that we didn't lose power. I am happy for the lake though as it really needs the water.

Well our Eagles looked pretty bad yesterday. They lost by a field goal. As my DH said "It's going to be a long season". On the other hand our other team, the Seahawks won. So that was good.

We also watched the rest of season two of Breaking Bad. Now I am anxious to get into season 3. I will see if we can pick it up.

It's Independence Day here in Mexico and a holiday. It sure was noisy last night and I was amazed by that as it was so windy and wet. But this is an important holiday for the Mexicans and they didn't let it stop their celebrations. Good for them.

I will don my raincoat with hood and get out and walk the dogs. Then will check in with FIL who was still on catheter and IV yesterday but doing good. He is loving being back in his comfort chair with his "toys".

Hope you all had a great week end and will have a wonderful week.

What a reat idea tat you can get your handyman to repair the roof leak. Here they quote you the price of a new roof. No patching complete roof.......the price reflects it also. Glad to hear that FIL is up in his chair. That is progress nd oes toward doing better

I dread the start of the rainy season! You are better than I am, though, because I won't go walk in it!

We're in the middle of a wet period as well. I hope you can get the roof fixed before any damage is done.

Hope the rain stops so you can get your roof fixed. So glad that your FIL is doing better, that has to be a relief for you. It was quite a game yesterday for the Seahawks; one of our neighbors is a Marine and got to be there as he was part of the group presenting the American flag. Go Seahawks!

Hope the rain stops soon but you have that tropical storm nearby.. hope it heads out to sea and not north up the Sea of Cortez! Most concrete houses have a leak somewhere.. I know ours has several :(
Stay dry!!

It's amazing how welcome rain can be when it's scary dry. Colorado is coming out of a week of rain/flood disaster but today, although the skies are still blanketed in gray I can see a point of light where the sun is shining. We're thinking the worst is over. I'm still wearing rain gear when I walk my dog...5 days in a row. That's just unheard of here.

Glad your FIL is mending. Have a great day.
