Does Anybody Out There Watch "Breaking Bad"?

Monday, September 16, 2013

What a show...I've been hooked on it since last year when I first started watching it and then did a lot of catch-up viewing of previous seasons via Netflix. It's now in its sixth and final season, and last night's episode was a mind-blower--one of the main characters killed, an 18-month-old baby kidnapped, and the younger partner of the previous drug "cooking" team dragged off to face torture and probably death.

The main characters have many layers, which makes them all the more compelling--sometimes you love them, sometimes you hate them for what they are capable of doing. A very dark series (needless to say) ! I will be sorry to see it end.

Yesterday I was asked to have an early dinner for our weekend company so that the two boys could get back to Maryland to do their homework. I managed to put it together pretty close to the requested time. While I was in the kitchen, daughter, son- in- law and the younger grandson were out in the pool. I had the heater going but alas they said it was still cold(even though the temp of the water was 80 degrees!) So next year I'm closing the pool the week after Labor Day. Just doesn't make sense to keep it open longer with the cool fall weather kicking in.

WOW, I could not watch that kind of stuff, it really b lows my mind.

Our pool was covered today, The wrinkles will stay and we are seriously thinking the pool will not make its 40th birthday. It was put in mid September 39 years ago but we did not use it till the next year 1976. It all depends on two things. If the Natural gas will heat it I will go for it but we also need steps/ We have always had ladders . I looked for a wedding cake set of steps but they were very expensive so DH suggests get a new liner and walk in steps. That is even more expensive and in our time of life the grands can only come for a few weeks and the prefer computers to swimming now.
HUGS Take care and enjoy having family close by. Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
