Is it ever hard for me to be patient! After all that effort: biking, walking, spinning class, lifting weights AND all that tracking food (and saying no to high carb stuff), it feels like the number on the scale should be dropping so fast. I'm spoiled by the Biggest Loser show---it sets me up to expect BIG weekly losses.
But I'm going to count my small victories:
1. exercise is a regular part of my day, and I love it! Well, not always getting started, but once I'm going it's great!
2. have been tracking steadily for 2 weeks now. Given up diet coke permanently. No more impromptu visits to McDonald's for cheeseburger and fries. Although I did go once this week with a friend who wanted to go. Iced tea and southwestern salad. Feeling good about that victory.
My friend even offered me some of her fries. Are you kidding? Give me just one and I'll snatch the whole thing out of your hands! Another "no thank you" ---felt great!
3. have had a total of 3 sweets in 2 weeks---little 50 calorie York Peppermint Patties. I feel in charge of when I allow myself "goodies." Mostly salads and veggies and protein.
So even though the weight is moving down at the speed of a turtle, in all other areas I'm happy with my progress.
Here's a quote about running that I like---it speaks to me in my slow weight loss:
