I've walked and biked and pushed some papers around on my desk. I NEED to just clean off the desk and be done with it but I don't like sitting long enough to do those things anymore. I used to sit on my butt for about 10 hours a day - one of the reasons it got so big to start with! Most of this paperwork is for my aunt so once it is done it will be much easier to maintain.

The plan is that I will work diligently on the desk for 15 minutes and then go do something active for 15 minutes. Repeat as many times as needed to get it over with.

    Great idea to switch up down time with active time! I sometimes do that with the computer and cleaning. With TV on, get up and clean through the ads! emoticon

    Excellent plan. I need to get back to doing that. I used to set the timer so I'd get up an move; I've got an interval timer that I need to use for that same purpose. Thanks for the great reminder!!

    Aaahhhh...the fine art of procrastination! LOL I just got my desk cleaned and reorganized on Saturday after putting it off.

    Stand up to work at your desk! Especially when cleaning it. Do lunges and squats. Turn it into an active calorie-burning activity.

  I refer to my desk as the "black hole". It's very messy because I do EVERYTHING here, from financials to sewing to my nails and everything else. I have to admit most of my problem is all the pills I have to take, but if they aren't in front of me I will forget to take them. Just for kicks I just counted 34 bottles. Not a typo.. 34.. but I just got some of my pills renewed so some are waiting to be opened cuz I only take 24 pills a day. That's down from 36, when "they" were experimenting to see what was going to work best with my medical situations.
