Did you ever have one of those days? Yeah, I know you have too.
Actually the day got off to a great start (coffee, hot tub, breakfast) but it went South really quick. My first project was to finish painting my bathroom floor. As I was clearing stuff so I could clean the floor, my triangular sea glass jar filled with marbles crashed and broke all over the floor. As I was cleaning it up, one teeny tiny chard of glass poked the end of my finger. I got it out easy enough but I thought I was going to bleed to death! (okay, maybe a bit of exaggeration) It bled for 20 minutes, dripped all over the floor. I finally got the mess cleaned up and decided to skip on that project.
So, I go outside to sit on the lawn swing and enjoy the breeze with DH and Bad Leroy Brown. Well, Leroy sees a deer in the neighbors yard, jumps down and takes off down the driveway. (The deer is on the other side of the fence, so Leroy's not in danger.) But, when I pick him up, he is covered . . . and I do mean COVERED . . . with burrs. A gazillion at least.
This is what a sweet little burr-magnet looks like:
After a couple hours of post-burr grooming, he was finally burr-free again.
Then we started working on the pond. Plans have been evolving for 3 or 4 months now, and we've changed the plans so many times, it's become a real headache. We finally decided to arrange for a backhoe to come in later this week and just get it done.
DH and I were both at wits end. Not at each other, just the day in general! We looked at each other and said "Let's go for a ride!"
So off we went . . .
PS DH just tried to heat a quart jar of water in the micro . . . and the bottom of the jar blew out and flooded everything!!! "What's with this day?"
