Wow! The month is half gone already! I'm taking my lunch break right now at work. Here are some updates:
1. Work-My job out in my small town is going well. I've gained a lot of confidence filling in as the lead pharmacist during the boss's maternity leave. If I was given the opportunity, I would step in permanently. I'm ok also with just being a staff pharmacist. I really like my boss, and less responsibility would decrease my stress. I really love working in the small town hospital. I really feel we work as a team here, not every department against each other. Our change over to the new medication supplier has not gone smoothly, but we are dealing with it. We're dealing with all the other changes coming through as well. I'm proud of myself for not calling my boss about pharmacy stuff while she is on maternity leave.
2. HCG-round 2: I'm almost done with round 2. I believe I have seven days left. Today my weight was 152.5 lbs. I realized as I charted this in SparkPeople, that number is so close to my initial Spark goal of 150 lbs. I totally forgot about that goal. People ask me what number I am aiming for, and I tell them I don't know. I have belly fat (dangerous fat) and I'll see what number I'm at when that is gone or almost gone. If I get down to 151.5, that's 40 lbs lost total both rounds combines. If I get down to 145 lbs, I will no longer be considered "overweight" by the standard charts. I already HAVE to go shopping when we have some money. The only pair of jeans that fit I just bought used from Plato's Closet. They're a nice pair from Maurice's, 13/14. All of my other jeans are 16 or 18 and falling off! My jackets are way loose, and I'm sure my winter coat I bought last year will be big, but I'm hoping I can still get away with it. I really like it.
3. The kids: The school year is going well. Mary (13) had a volleyball accident, however, and has been laid up from that. As a precaution, they sent her to the hospital in an ambulance on a back board. It was really nice that I new everyone working on her. I was able to stay calm for my whole family, especially Mary. She's still in pain, but nothing was broken, just a whiplash kind of fall. Band is going well for all the kids. Mikey (17-Junior) will be band major for the homecoming game this week. Patrick (15-sophomore) is the primary percussionist and gets to play the snare drum for the pep band. Mary (8th grade) gets to be in the high school pep band as well. The kids are all big helpers around the house, and with prepping lunches and other meals. I'm so proud of all of them.
Well, I know that got a bit lengthy. I hope I get more time to get online.
