As tickets for home postseason (potential) games go on sale on Tuesday, I find myself wondering if Detroit will be in it. If they are, will they be team 3 or team 2? I am thinking team 3 (if they make it at all), they won't be wildcard (team 4) and have no chance of overcoming Boston in the standings to be team 1.
I was asked if I would like to go to an ALDS game in Detroit, I responded that the tickets were too expensive. I went to ALDS game 1 last year against the A's, but my friend bought my ticket, which was $70 face to sit way up by the scoreboard. He responded that he'd buy my ticket again this year if I chipped in my half of the gas money, that is very generous of him. That way he would have someone to go with at least, he has more $ than me.
The question is now whether they will be team 2 or 3, which won't be determined until the end, so the time and date of the game tickets we get won't be determined either. It could be Saturday the 5th or Tuesday the 8th, if we get home game 2 tickets. That's a big IF, because they sell fast.
Maybe I will get to go?
