What do you eat for breakfast?

Sunday, September 15, 2013

According to a 2008 study published in the International Journal of Obesity, swapping out your morning bagel for eggs could help you lose 65 percent more weight. Subjects who ate eggs for breakfast lost more weight, body fat and inches from their waist than those who ate the same amount of calories in the form of a bagel. Researchers believe the higher protein content of the eggs helps you stay fuller, longer and leads to eating less throughout the day.

Sometimes cereal and skim with 4 walnuts thrown in or a multigrain waffle with 1 tbsp. peanut butter or 4 egg whites with a little lf cheese.

For me a protein smoothie helps keep my protein up and keeps me full till lunch time. I'm really not an egg lover, but when I do eat eggs they are usually egg beaters.

I started using eggbeaters to make a veggie omlet at least twice a week. I usually have bread at lunch so I try to avoid it for breakfast. I also like smoothies and make those a couple times a week as well. I follow weight watchers so I look for best ingredients to keep it low. I use no fat greek yogurt and frozen no sugar added fruit and sometimes a bananna. Not using a protein powder at the current time. Happy Sparking Karen

I love making a smoothie with protein powder. I know how important it is to eat protein for breakfast but I am just not hungry. A smoothie is easy to get down!

I make sure that I have at least one protein item with my breakfast. I use egg substitute, because I don't want the cholesterol. I usually have cottage cheese with fruit, yogurt. or milk with my breakfast. I really don't need to eat again until lunch! emoticon

emoticon emoticon Normally I have an Omelet for Breakfast, but on Sundays it is Oatmeal & Coffee. Usually I would have the Omelet for Sunday Lunch, but today we had a Spaghetti Lunch at Church so I may have the Omelet for Dinner,

I eat lots of protein and fat at breakfast, It's definitely my biggest meal of the day. I mostly make like a 3-egg omelette with kerrygold butter, and some turkey and spinach mixed in. Delish!

I either have a protein shake (made with whey protein) with an egg in it and sometimes 1/2 cup berries added, or I will have eggs with a veggie of some sort.

This is every day - easy to fix, quick and not much thinking involved! ☺
