Today was the 5K for the healthy Start Coalition at the waterfront park here in New Port Richey My day started at 430 am to get ready for the race. Finished 61 out of 109 and 4th in my age group 50 to 59 (there were only 9 of us) 38 minutes 36 seconds fro apace of 12 minutes 27 seconds. No improvement from my last 5K
Though this time we were running on some grassy surface and gravel which I have never done before then we finally hit the road which I felt more comfortable on. I know I did not train as well as I should have I really slacked. yikes I have my next 5K on Oct 26th I need to hit the road more and not get side trade by a man again.
Either way I am happy with my results I ran a good race. and I had fun which is the utmost important part for me.
Trying to find out where the pictures will be as the gentlemen who was taking pictures told me he got me in action and there was another crossing the finish line.
I wore my cute little blue running skirt great for running but I was so self conscious just walking around and visiting with Charlie which he wasn't where he was suppose to so Penny kept me company until we found Charlie Thankfully the guys no enough to leave me alone and did not gawk at me.
I will do better on my next race already on calendar next years race for Healthy Start will do again good cause. Sept 27 2014
