Never too old for a date day!

Saturday, September 14, 2013

Ever since I came back from that two day tractor ride I have wanted to take the GLBH to the Princeton Ill. area where we left the tractors overnight. So Friday was our day chosen for our date day. We have a gal who started her teaching career in our local town who now is retired and has a antique shop there, that was my stop, GLBH has very little interest in old things except maybe me!
Next stop was the dress shop, Four Seasons. They have a few stores through Ill. and Iowa. She thought she was in heaven, just don't have anything quite like this in Northern Ill. anymore. They did have a few real comfortable chairs to sit in but after an hour would have much preferred a couch. It took me all of two minutes to do duties on my cell phone and from then on all I had was an advertisement for their jewellery. She came by ever few minutes to wake me up an ask for my opinion and then ignore what I said. Oh what us men get put through. Did get several nice outfits for fall-winter otherwise would have to stay home or go nude! Little too cold for that. I guess they were free cause she said I didn't need to even look at the charge ticket.
Then went south of Princeton to Hornbakers flower farm, not near as pretty now as when we were there with the 60 tractors last month but still great. We walked around and she found a Hibiscuses and mum that we could handle in the car. I just love Hibiscuses plants so I was happy. Went back to town and ate at a local owned Chinese restaurant on main street, quite a treat.
I even got to stop by my favorite Case-I-H dealership on the way home to converse some.
Got a great big good night kiss for such a nice date day, never too old for that.
Better close, I'm getting real close to " getting in trouble again".
Have a great weekend my great Spark friends!

Thanks for the comment about my adventures as Tom Sawyer. I do wish that there existed rural America where you could leave your doors open like Normal Rockwell portrayed in his paintings. I am going to send you two things to read that I think you will enjoy, during this miserable weather. Also I hope we become friends. Thanks, eva emoticon

A emoticon is a nice way to end a fun day, isn't it? But, what is a GLBH? -- Lou

You are so much fun to read. Thank you for brightening my day. You just keep on believing that about the price tickets.

You're never too old for a date. My husband and I go on "date night" every Friday night. Just to get away and spend some time alone together. I think there's plenty of "Spark" left in your marriage. I'm glad that you had a good day.
