18 weeks till I turn 40

Saturday, September 14, 2013

Down to 205.2 this morning. The temp dropped into the 40's last night, and I have a runny nose today, but otherwise I feel pretty good. I have been doing my exercise, and keeping busy volunteering.

My last scan of my ICD had an episode that the doctor needs to see me about. I already have an appointment for Monday morning, and have to get bloodwork for this episode done on Wednesday. They are checking everything out. Then I have to go see my cardiologist early, maybe in 2-3 weeks, instead of in November as scheduled. I am sure it will just be some waste of time, and if it was serious they would tell me to go to the E.R. I think I am going to tell her to leave me alone for 6 months. I am not going to do any of the tests she wants till my brother gets a job, and can pay all his bills. I pay almost half of the bills, and if something happened to me, he would be homeless. Hopefully, they just make a small change in my meds. Maybe they cut too quickly or something. I wish they would just tell me on the phone, and mail me the prescription.

Other than that, I plan on watching Lions football tomorrow, and the Newsroom at night, and relaxing. Fall shows start Monday, and probably going to have a full DVR. I hope the Lions can travel out to Arizona and win a game. They do poorly out there, but seem to be a little better this year with Reggie Bush. If they execute better than last week, they should win, but they ARE the Lions. My Tigers are wrapping up the season, but if they don't win the World Series, the season is a waste.

With the temp dropping, the fall season is on the way. I love fall more than anything. Sweatshirts, and crunchy leaves of multiple colors. What is better? The 4 seasons in Michigan, are slush( winter ), mush ( spring ), sweating ( summer ), and beautiful ( fall ). I can sit on the porch, and watch kids play in the leaves, and squirrels collect food for the winter. The air is nippy, but not too hot, or cold, with very low humidity. Seemed a bit too chilly last night, but it will get back into the 50's tonight.

Have a great week!

I love your descriptions of the seasons in Michigan!! Here in western Oregon it is sunshine, usually in summer, rain in autumn, much more rain during winter, rain again in spring usually until late June - then we're back to the nice dry days of summer...
Guess every place has it's good and it's bad. We usually don't deal with humidity during the summer though, it's humid in winter when it rains so much, but it's cooler, so it's not as muggy as summers are in some places.

Be sure and take care of yourself, healthwise... If you are sick or in the hospital you won't be any good for your brother either... emoticon
