DIRECT AND PROTECT

Because of Godís mercy we donít get what we deserve. He withholds punishment on us because we are His children and He loves us. The punishment He withholds is greater than the punishment we get from Him. Because of His mercy, He gives us a gentle reminder to turn away from sin and turn toward Him. He wants to direct us to do only His will. He wants to protect us from the things of the world. Godís mercy directs and protects us.

Psalm 57:1 ďHave mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by.Ē (NLT)

Dear Lord, we need to remember to look for Your protection every day. Sometimes we get into situations due to our own selfish decisions rather than following Your direction. We thank You for Your mercy and Your protection and pray You will show us Your way today. Direct our paths, Lord, keeping us from danger and protecting us from harm. In Jesusí name. Amen.

God wants to help us but He canít if we keep getting in the way.

Godís protection is far greater than any protection we can get from the world.

Godís direction will lead us to places we could never go on our own.

When we follow God, He will protect us.

When we depend on Godís protection, He will direct us to where we need to go.

Psalm 86:2 ďProtect me, for I am devoted to you. Save me, for I serve you and trust you. You are my God.Ē (NLT)
