Review of the first full week with all jobs

Saturday, September 14, 2013

I thought I would blog about my first week trying to combine work at two jobs and first class. Next week I also add an additional intensive training to the mix.

Class: I love it, it is very stimulating and I like the style of the teacher using exit surveys. I have started to work on my project for this and will need to redefine. Good news fabulous instructor! Loved that when I left there that I stopped at Whole Foods and picked up some healthy drinks. I probably will try to make some kind of stop after class but it might not be Whole Foods but perhaps the gym???? She also talked about balance in life.

School Job: Love the new director and had a wonderful conversation with him about balancing life. Combined with getting my own caseload under control I have two graduate students that i am working with. Great news fabulous students!

University: I have 6 graduate students that I am supervising working with 15 clients.....YIKES!!!

Training: I am being trained on a the "gold standard" of autism tests for 4 days then need to meet a high level of accuracy to be certified as a research based evaluator. Unfortunately the University hasn't ordered the test yet so I am VERY nervous about the training and I will need to really do a great deal of studying.

Weight: up and down
Fitness: Need to concentrate on everyday getting something in
Tracking: got off track

Plan: Make sure I get exercise in the morning: wake up early: before eating at night get some exercise in.

Food: eat less at night

Track: On phone

Brain Training: did not get it done everyday.

I love your positive attitude! Remember that even 10 minutes of exercise twice a day is better than none...participation not perfection!!!!

You really have quite a schedule. It's nice that the people you are working are all nice and you will enjoy them - that's important. Wishing you all the best!!! emoticon emoticon

Wow! It's a lot...But, You Can Do This!

Success requires making, and sticking to a tight schedule.

When I was juggling a lot, I had to remember to schedule in things like cleaning, laundry, and even relaxation time .
You have to think of the whole, and then divide it into time slots.

I wish you Strength & Luck!

    You've Got This!
