It was a great day! It began with the news that I have lost another 2 lbs. That brings my SP loss total to 129 lbs. and 184 lbs total. It is a phenomenal feeling.
I also accomplished all I set out to do at work and even just a bit more. It felt good to get that all off my plate.
When I left work at 12:30, I stopped at Safeway. While snack gathering, I ran into a colleague (Greg Noritake), who was there training students. I am not sure which of the two of us was more stunned. His response and the response of the students who were with him was worth its weight in gold to me. It was truly great to see them all.
I arrived at the Y around 1 PM, grabbed some lunch, had some great conversations, and had the opportunity to be of service with a person in need. After that, I was able to get a good mile in (1/4 running and 3/4 walking) prior to an awesome training session with Ross. After a quick rest and another great conversation (with Melissa), my session (which encompassed medicine ball sit-ups, kettlebell swings, and numerous other fun activities [as only Ross can concoct]) began. It was awesome, as always, and left me want more. What is not to love about that?
On the way home, I stopped at the Kitsap 9-11 Memorial and meditated there for about an hour. It was a wonderful means for evoking gratitude for the many blessings in my life.
