A Quick Hello

I have a minute before starting dinner -- the first one I've started in a long while. My DH is cooking these days for which I am grateful. Tonite I am making tilapia and a salad. I weigh the same 145 and I have decided that since my my old step tracker didn't turn up I will get another one per your advice. I just thought if I gave it some time it would show up -- but not so far.

Not much is new that I can share at the moment. Fred (DH) has been going to my son's house to help repair some things. I eat, sleep, work, sleep, work, sleep, eat, and work. I come home and eat a Greek yogurt for breakfast and go to bed. I get up at 5 or 6 pm and eat dinner, get ready and go to work again leaving at 8 pm and clocking in at 9 pm. At 3 am I eat lunch (always chicken salad with no bread and another Greek yogurt.) I drink Lipton tea n honey (15 calories) and that's my diet. I never stop moving for 10 - 11 hrs. To make things interesting every morning our store manager comes in 7 am to tell us he's not happy for all the things we didn't get done. We all push as hard as possible to get as much done as we can. It's really not too rewarding. I do like most of the crew a lot, and then of course, there are a few that need to go home and find something else to do.

I will have to adjust as much as possible to this pace. It is mental as well as physical stress, but I am pretty determined to hang in there for now. I think just one week at a time.

Gosh - this is so boring and mundane, but that is where I am at right now. I will just have to adjust to setting very small personal goals right now -- like ordering the new step tracker, and then give some thought to current situation.

Well, off to make dinner -- just wanted to let you all know I am thinking about you. Stay healthy and true to your goals.

    Your job sounds a lot like my daughter's part-time job. After putting in 8 hours at her regular job, she then goes to her part-time job at McDonalds. She's been working two jobs for the past 5 years just to be able to make a living. Making minimum wages isn't a living wage for anybody!!!! Those types of jobs are super stressful without many rewards for all the hard work you do just to make the managers look good. emoticon

Maybe you'll be able to find something you like better that pays more of what you're really worth instead of what big corporations eeks out for their employees. I certainly hope so because "YOU are worth it!!! emoticon

    Hi Sheila, Callie makes a good point. I think your energy level may increase with more fuel too. Your postings are not boring at all, I find them interesting, hearing about your job and that manager who no doubt has his/her manager breathing down his/her neck also. I appreciate you taking precious time to write!

    I know I feel lost without my fitbit. DH reports to me its location and sometimes runs it to me in tiny steps like mine. Like the lady says life is life is life. emoticon

    I thought I lost my fitbit today but found it - I took it off before a shower and left it in a spot I don't usually put it...

A DH who cooks and repairs things is worth his weight in gold!!

    I am not an expert, Sheila...but maybe you are not eating enough to lose. Crazy as it seems...it can be true. I know you are working and moving ALOT and your body may be "hanging on" to all it can so it will have the energy to do what it needs to do to sustain you. emoticon and your update is not "mundane'...just another day in your life...but that`s life.
