Today started early.

I was planning on waking with my alarm this morning, but unfortunately the car had different ideas. The battery died and the alternator went out. I had to get up early to push it out of the way, I hate that I wake up instantly to the phone, as my husband was calling me from the parking lot.
On the bright side, I got some strength training in from pushing the car...
My other walking partner was at the park this morning, but she had finished, although we did have a short chat before she left. I'm glad to see that my routine is becoming normal again and all my random people are showing up again.
The other mom was there today so I managed to walk and talk with her. I like having someone regular to walk with.
I still haven't heard back from the nursing assistant class and since that starts on Monday, I'm assuming I didn't make the cut. I really wish companies were still sending out letters for not making the cut, but apparently that doesn't happen anymore, must have gone out the door with common courtesy and common sense.
On the bright side of that, I can afford to get the car fixed because I'm not paying for the class...
I'm also thankful that my father is helpful and up early because he came out to jump the car so we could drive it up to the place to get it fixed. That saved us a towing charge. I just hope that we didn't make mom late for her eye appointment this morning for her follow-up for her cataract surgery she had yesterday.
I'm hoping this doesn't turn into a high calorie day because I tend to eat more when I'm tired, and although I'm not tired right now, it'll catch up to me in a few hours. That one extra hour can really make a difference. I'm glad it's really Friday today, yesterday felt like Friday all day long.
On the bright side, I have time for a nap today...
Speaking of medical conditions, my husband went in to the doctor yesterday and finally got his breathing issue looked at. Now I have two in the family with asthma. But he got some medication that should have him feeling better within the week and back to normal. He acts up a couple of times a year and, with the right diagnosis, it can be taken care of better. It's between asthma and chronic bronchitis, we've been told both, but it seems to act like asthma.
So I hope this means I'll have a calm weekend with no disturbances, but we'll see, when one thing happens, it all happens.
