Long time no blog. I've been super busy the past couple months. A lot has happened that would normally have thrown me off course but I held my own. Death in the family; lack of time to plan/yoga; and of course stress from work, three weeks of intense cleaning with the baby I nanny ain't easy or appreciated. Luckily, hours of housekeeping burns major calories.
Hiking has been great solace to me. My hiking buddy and I have been averaging 12 miles each weekend. Before having to take a few weeks off, we'd gone 8 weeks in a row. We often stop for lunch on the river. One day, I was jumping around on the rocks and running around in the shallow water. I stopped and realized that Old-Annie would not have been jumping like this, or even hiking 12 miles with ease. It was amazed by my self and my abilities and my confidence.
I have not done yoga (except a few sun salutations here and there) all week long! I am not very pleased with that, but I have been very active at work so I'm still burning calories. I have hit some goals in my practice: bird of paradise is looking great and my shoulder stand is very straight.
In conclusion, I'm maintaining my weight well by staying consistent. Still feeling good about myself and my accomplishments. Keeping up!
