Brief update

Thursday, September 12, 2013

I went to the orthodontist today. The last appointment they took molds of my teeth to help figure out a better time frame for my upcoming jaw surgery. Today, more x-rays and pictures. The original estimate was braces for 9-12 months. ( months would be December 7th. Personally, I was hoping early January. Enough time to "bulk up" before the surgery, and then head in to the new year wired shut. January is a dreary, cold month and I'll be honest, if I'm going to have to be miserable and not go to work, January would be the time. There would be other pluses about that time frame. The boy would be home from college so he could help out around the house or with the kid after school. Oh well.

It looks like it will be more like March. If it has to be March, I'd like it to be on the early side or maybe after St. Patrick's Day. I suppose in the end, it will be what it will be.

I agree, January is such a miserable month anyway so as long as you have to be miserable you may as well do it all at one, and it doesn't hurt that you would have some help at home at that time too!! Nothing ever works the way it should or at least the way we want it to.
My daughter is coming home already this weekend.... dental problems UGH! So she is coming on the bus and had to make a dentist appt. for Saturday am. Hope things get better all around!! emoticon
