Well, well. The fever is still with me, as expected. But I got through the day OK. For which I am grateful. The over the counter meds are helping me to maintain a good work ethic.
We had a child support defendant that I wanted to . . . deal with in a rather extreme manner. Three mothers, five children. Dad's smarmy smile just rankled me. But of course, I already knew that he call the mom who now live in Florida and told her that nothing would happen toady, because he had an attorney.
Well, yes, he had one of the best attorneys in the county. Said attorney did a great job. THe thing that finally sunk the guy, which resulted in two thirty-day sentences, consecutive, was his motorcycle. He said, in testimony, that it was basic transportation, and less money than his truck. But on Facebook, he posted the picture of the new. YES NEW. motorcycle with the caption: "This is my new toy!!".
AAAARGH - well, after about 50 minutes of testimony, etc., the judge sent him off to jail. I really did not think that would happen because he had been paying his child support in all three cases, just not in the full, court-ordered amount. Age 37. High school diploma. Skills in construction engineering (no degree).
