THE TOP TEN REASONS I'M CHANGING MY LIFE

1. I want to be a role model of good health & strength to my son! I don't want him to have an out of shape mom or to be an embarrassment to him because I am overweight. I want to show him that it is important to take care of your body, your mind & your soul.

2 Because I AM a priority. I am more than just a mommy & while my son is my top priority, I also need to be on my list of priorities. I may not be number one on the list, but I am on the list & by putting myself on that list I am ensuring that I will be around for my son longer & that is worth everything.

3. Because I want to be a overall healthier version of myself. I want to feel in control of my body & know that I am doing everything in my power to create a healthy lifestyle for me & my family.

4. Because I want to look AMAZING naked. Yes, it may be a little vain but I want my nice sculpted curves back that I use to have, that sexy pinup style body. I want my man's jaw to drop at the sight of me. I want to feel like a BOMBSHELL!

5. Because nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels. I know I will never give up ice cream or mashed potatoes & gravy, but I am learning to live my life in moderation.

6. Because I don't want to buy another pair of size 16 jeans ever again!

7. Because I have so much more energy when I eat healthy & incorporate fitness into my daily routine! The energy living healthy gives me is worth more than a slice of cake or a candy bar because the more energy I have the better mom, girlfriend, daughter & friend I am & that makes me feel like an overall better person! It is changing my life!

8. Because I want to be able to rock any outfit I choose!

9. Because I refuse to take orders from a cookie or a brownie. I'm the one calling the shots here!

10. Because I want to inspire others to get off their asses & change their own lives. If I can build myself back up from my rock bottom, highest weight ever former self, then so can you. Stop making excuses & change your world, you'll be so happy you did.

    Great list, Jes! You go girl! We need people who are good examples. Teaching your son about healthy eating and living is fantastic. I wish I had learned that growing up or I wouldn't be where I am now.
