I want a Bento Box

I WANT A BENTO BOX

I want someone to make me edible works of art.

I promise to eat my veggies

and my fruit

To be honest...
everyone is so busy these days...we look for convenience in everything.
But a little presentation goes a Long way.
It can make a plate of greens into a feast.
We eat with our eyes...and if it's fun...even better.

Now ...I'm not pushing Spaghetti and Meatballs....
but can't you just picture this with spaghetti squash
or a bed of chopped broccoli or string beans...
and 2 little turkey meatballs staring back at you.
I can.

have fun.... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Gives new meaning to playing with your food, and my mother always told me not to play with my food! What a great disservice. I could have been an artist. I love these. My grandson might even be tempted to eat some of his veggies if they were in an angry bird bento box.

it looks like a neat way to teach kids (and kids at heart) that healthy real foods can still be fun and tasty.

I like fancy stuff too unless I have to wear a dress to eat it. LOL. I wonder how well this works with kids. I was picky as a child and while I might have liked the presentation I doubt if it would have had me eating red peppers. I like red peppers now though but not a bunch of them. A greasy sirloin steak might be fancy enough for me. LOL.

Aren't these the best! OMG, when we lived in IL we had a Korean neighbor. She always was soooooooooo creative with the Bento Box lunches she sent her kids to school with. I was lucky my poor kids got a sandwich in a baggie or soup in a thermos! LOL What can I say. Bad Mommy!!

You're right, we eat with our sight and smell first, then with our taste. In culinary school and even cooking shows on TV, presentation is always given importance.

Have a great day!

I am not sure I could eat that. I would like to just sit and admire those plates. Who thinks of these things? I can barely get the bed made, bathroom cleaned, laundry, walk the dogs, participate in town stuff, and make 3 nutritious meals and some snacks every day. And I spend about 2 hrs a day on Spark. Yikes!
