So it has been a month since my ankle injury and while I am able to walk faster, I still have pains in my ankle and it still swells. I am on week 3 of my weights. On this past Sunday, I decided to go with my husband to walk, while he ran. I wore my lace up brace and completed a mile, which was a huge feat! On Tuesday we went to the apartment gym and I rode the bicycle for 30 minutes and my ankle was ok. Usually before I work out, when I come home from work, I put my foot up for about 15-30 minutes before I start any exercise because my ankle is swollen. So I decided to go to an orthopedist doctor today really because my husband said I should go. And of course this morning I seemed to be ok. In reality, I guess I'm not! I have a stress fracture on my ankle and I will be wearing a boot for 3 weeks and then be re-checked. I am able to work out if I want to and he recommended the bike or swimming. Mentioned the elliptical, but he preferred me doing the other two.
