Day 43: Chest Infections

Thursday, September 12, 2013

Hi all, I thought I would just give a bit of an update on how things are going. Monday last week I did 15 minutes on the elliptical, it was amazing for my motivation and a great way to start the month. I was a bit out of breath afterwards which I just put down to being overweight and having a good, hard workout. I then developed a cough, which got a bit deep before fading. Anyway, long story short, I spent yesterday and the day before in the hospital getting checked for blood clots, getting blood tests done, and all sorts of other very not fun things. Doctors are 98% sure its just a viral infection, but there is still some doubt. So I've been ordered to take it easy for the next week or so and go back to my doctor before I start working out again. All in all I'm breathing much easier now. I have medicines which will clear up the infection and an inhaler for when I start having trouble catching my breath. Now that I'm more relaxed about it all I'm going to make an effort to log into Spark every day again.

I hope everyone is doing well!

I am so glad you went right to the doctor!! It is good to get the meds you need to get better. Just when you were getting on the bike and getting active too!! I am glad you are feeling better, but take to exercising a little slow paced until you are completely better....ok, I feel a little like mom right now!
