What can I say? I needed an expletive and profanity just isn't my thing.
My day was yet another roller coaster, and I am not a fan of them.
It started out with having to drag kid out of the house to move the heavy chair out of the van for me to go to farm market (I don't use the big folding chair because it is heavy) because he didn't do it last night...like he said he would
Then I decided to go to Mcdonalds for breakfast...I put my cocoa mix in my bag to add to plain coffee to have mocha for 70 calories a cup instead of 400 or 500! And I ordered sausage muffins (intending 1 for breakfast and 1 for lunch) and fruit/yogurt parfait. Muffins (no cheese) is over 100 calories less than biscuits. So, even though it wasn't the "best" choice, it was getting back to small, positive steps in the right direction.
What I GOT was not the healthier choice I had ordered. They gave me biscuits instead. And my one non fat, no whip, no drizzle mocha (my other 2 coffees were black to make my own) ended up being regular with whip and drizzle. I didn't notice until I was on the highway and took a sip.
And I didn't know about the biscuits until I got to the market. At least the yogurt was right!
I thought about just having yogurt, but I'm on meds that need a decent meal to settle them and make them work better. So I ate them (separate meals).
I had decent sales, so that was nice. And I made a possible connection for more contract knitting for the alpaca shop. I bought a skein of their yarn to knit myself some mittens and if they like them, they may have me make some for the store. Possibly hats+scarves, too. That was good.
Until I got home and started working with my vintage pattern and the new yarn. The pattern didn't state it was CHILDREN'S size!! So, I finished up one mitten in that size and made changes to make it larger (it is awesome with cables, MIL sent it to me with the vintage stuff that was Cookie's mother's). Not even halfway into the mitten, there was this big yucky mass of unspun fiber in the middle of the ball!! ARGH! I put it on the shelf for now. I'm deciding whether to cut it out and just tie a knot or take it as is to show the shop owner. I REALLY don't want to put knots in mittens. Especially when the yarn was so pricey. I paid as much for 100 yards of alpaca as I do for 400 yards of fisherman wool
But it gave me time to knit on socks, instead of working out the pattern for the bigger mittens.
And I brought home a bunch of fresh veggies from the market. Improvements, small but there!
Now? I'm going to get some sleep! Have a good night
