It is now near the end of day 3 of my week of work travel. (I fly home tomorrow night.)
I have to admit, prior to flying out to Denver, I was a little worried how I'd do with eating and exercise. In the past when travelling I ate pretty bad and sort of used the travel as an excuse to not exercise, drink beers for dinner, and pretty much sabotage anything healthy.
This time though I tried to prepare a little better. I packed my exercise clothes, looked online for healthy dinner places, and also found a market I could stop in so I could buy some veggies and fruits to have as snacks.
And it worked!
I ate sensibly every day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
I went to the gym on Monday night and Wednesday night (tonight). It was a 3/4 mile walk to the gym.
I walked to the conference location each day instead of taking the shuttle. (Also a 3/4 mile walk.)
And ... I walked in the rain. To the grocery store. To the gym. To the conference. It started raining just after our planed landed, and pretty much rained throughout.
But damn-it, I live in the Pacific NW ... rain. *pah* Just try and rain on my exercise parade.
