I knew that something was not right. I have been tired for more than a week (with no known explanation). And, I was feeling a wee bit bored and incapable of concentration (also with no known explanation).
Well, I received the explanation today: swollen tonsils. That means (due to a bi-annual experience with this) that I am dealing with a low-grade infection. Not system wide, most likely, but centered in my head, neck, and upper chest.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have seen this before and I know what to do with it!!
Salt water gargling, chloraseptic, large doses of Vitamin C, as much rest as I can claim out of the day, and, well, simply live with it. I will have a low-grade fever for about three days, then two to four days of no voice, and then another day or two of general malaise.
Then, all will be well.
I have my treatment kit available and restocked.
I am ready to meet this thing head on.
