cold snap

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

Whew! It is cold: only 86 degrees today! My glasses steamed up when I got out of my car at work,, that was at 6:30am! DD got parents and our lawns mowed this morning, so glad she got it done before the storm. I am not complaining about the warmth, I miss it all winter..

Did very well today on ranges.. did not get a break at work, so had Rice Krispies, cheese stick at 5 am, then fresh blackberry and banana smoothie with protein powder(thank you very much Debbieanne!) and did indulge in a few spoonfuls of pistachio almond ice cream. Gads, who was the masochist that invented THAT flavor?? I love it,, Blue Bunny has some wicked flavors,, a big notch below Ben and Jerry, but still...

Nice that you are enjoying some of the often thought of "taboo" foods in small amounts. It makes life a lot more pleasant.

I'm glad you're benefitting from the protein powder. I ahve a huge cannister full of te vanilla stuff & I add it to smothies or shakes. It gives me that boost of energy to start the day.

Guess we're not the only ones with the heat! It's over for us after today. Hopefully for the year. I'm ready for fall now!

I haven't had ice cream in ages, and that sounds pretty good at the moment!
