In some ways this is surprising to me, but color me happy too!!

I think that my major move, my settling into a rental, no longer having to worry/stress about trying or nor trying to keep the old house, has been the answer. That and coming to the conclusion that dinner doesn't always have to be a meal. Sometimes dinner can be nothing or just some fruit. I have to remember that I don't have to conform to what the world decides is the norm, like one must eat a fully cooked meal for dinner. Instead I need to listen to my body and eat when I am hungry.

I now take a container of mixed fruit to work, a bit of apple, a bit of melon, some grapes and if on hand some slices of strawberries and/or blueberries. I eat what I want and bring the rest back the next day. I also bring my breakfast in and wait till I am hungry to eat, some days this occurs after several hours as work does have a tendency to get busy!! Oh well, this happens. Lunch is a bit of protein with a bunch of veggies which I call my one pan meals. Example: sauté some chick peas (garbanzo beans) with some squash, potatoes, corn, peas, cauliflower, broccoli, black rice, boiled chicken and finish off with some chicken stock (homemade) and cook the broth off. Season with garlic powder (fresh if you like it), salt and pepper, yummy!! When I get home I am not very hungry so I either snack on small piece of fruit or nothing, yes I am a rebel!!

Over the last four days I had 2 days that I wasn't hungry, so I just had some water (tonight was a not hungry night), and one day that I ate fruit and one day that I made dinner (homemade corn tortillas with ground beef, tomatoes, avocado and lettuce). I am feeling wonderful and the scale and the belt are saying results are good!!

I have been alternating upper and lower body ST, as work allows, and I am seeing great results!! I use free weights on upper body and do some strength training (ST) and I use body weight on lower body ST. On lower body days I also use a knee high bench and I step up, step down, squat, go to other leg, etc. Great cardio!! Just started this today: I am now doing an exercise called "farmers carry" using 42 lbs on each arm. You grab a heavy weight and walk with it, another great cardio, and I do this on upper body ST day.

Two weeks ago I showed a 4 lb loss, last week was a 2 lb loss. This never, ever, ever, ever happens with me!! Every single day since Sunday I have showed a pound loss, yes a pound!! I post once a week so next posting might be simply amazing!!

I have a c0-worker that has been asking about my routine (this co-worker is older and in the most amazing shape) and she told me that she could see a noticeable difference in my size.

So what are my goals?? Well my only goal is to get my kettle bell routine back, other than that?? Well I am just going to continue the new routine and let the pounds fall to the side!!

For any new readers, my last weight loss was my first ever. I was a smoker that was thin, then I quit smoking and got heavy. This is my first "fall off the wagon" and I am determined that it is my last!!

Here is Annie and Jacob trying to find the missing bunny, they were inside while I put bunny in the trash. Yes they were devastated!





This is them tonight, Jake is passed out and Annie is sleeping on her blanket that she took several minutes "fixing" to her satisfaction, yes only her head is on the blanket. I stop to watch her "fix" her blanket often as it is quite amusing to watch.

On an unrelated weight loss note: I live in Arizona, I live in a high desert (Northern AZ) and we are use to heat, monsoons in the summer, and living dry. It seems that the rains have another idea!! We have had heavy rains for several weeks, it is so green, and the last bit of rain started last Saturday and hasn't quite stopped. We have flooding, yes we are use to flooding and 99.9% know how to handle that, but now we have standing water, mosquitoes and grass. We are not use to grass!! The weeds are also growing too.

  Glad you are doing so well!! The weather is crazy here too! I am sure the lack of stress now is helping that scale move in the right direction! Stress will do you in every time!

    For sure we are all different and what works for one doesn't necessarily work for someone else. So good that you are taking a good hard look at this and finding what works for you.

    Congratulations on the weight loss and finding a routine that works for you. I love the updates on the dogs. Dogs are funny creatures. We are blessed to have them in our lives.
