Happy, but Sad!!

Tuesday, September 10, 2013

I know, it's been forever since I last blogged. I decided I just have to jump in and do it!! Wish I can tell you all that I'm at my goal weight and happy as ever. But, I can't. Not close to my goal weight, but back to trying to get there. I decided to do Chris Powell's plan: carb cycling. It's been working slowly, but I'm fine with that.

As you remember, I took up running and was just loving it. Did 2 half marathons (I think it's 2 years now), but continued to just run on my own and of course, do the mud runs. Well, I've been off of running for 6 weeks now. I was diagnosed with bursitis in the hip. Not happy. Miss it so much. Trying to find other ways to get my "high". Not easy, but, doing it. emoticon emoticon . Still training twice a week with my trainer. I've been thinking of getting some DVD's to do at home in between. Looking in to a few and once I figure it all out, I'll let you all know what I have chosen.

So, why the sad part? Well, yesterday, I took my 3 boys to the airport for a trip of a lifetime. My husband and I decided to send them to Europe for 9 weeks. I know, you want us to adopt you, too, but, we just can't!! Thank goodness for my daughter. Now, we won't be too lonely. She's having a hard time, but, we're trying to distract her as best we can. Here are a few pictures of them:

Got their matching backpacks and ready to go

At the airport, saying good bye!

Somebody isn't happy emoticon

As my daughter and I were hugging each other and crying, my 18 year old was video taping us on his go-pro. For anyone who is interested, they are keeping a blog. Here's the link: threeglucks.blogspot.co.

OK, so that's it for now. I really want to keep this up, blogging. Hopefully, starting tomorrow, I'll start to blog more about me!!

Until then-

That's so neat they are keeping a blog and that you gave them that opportunity! I'm sure you and your daughter will have a fun 9 weeks bonding:)

You can do it on your goals!

Love the pictures! Your daughter must absolutely adore her brothers and the other way around! You have a lovely family!

What will your boys be doing in Europe? At least you can live vicariously through them on their blog! emoticon

The boys will have a wonderful time despite Mom's worrying. Soon they'll be home and full of tales of fabulous adventures.
