I Want To Start Blogging Again

I haven't blogged anything since my sweet sister passed away 7 weeks ago. I haven't been laying in bed paralyzed with grieve for the past week. I still have crying spells and depression. I am trying hard to get a handle on it all. I want to thank everyone for all the kindness and comfort you sent my way. All of you that have been praying for me and my family, I feel blessed by you. Thank you! emoticon

I hadn't been keeping my Nutritional Tracker for weeks. So how I managed not to gain but 3.5 pounds. The last few weeks I noticed there were days I had emotional eating. I thought it was time to get back to taking good care of myself, my husband, and our dog in a proper fashion. Thanks NancySinatra for the challenge you sent to me via SparkMail. At first I wasn't going to do it. I didn't delete the email. When I came back in the Sparkmail, there set that email with the challenge in it. I read it again. I decided I would try it. So I contacted NancySinatra and told her I would do it. It took me a few days before I got started. So glad I decided to do the "Back to School Challenge". I love this team "Girlies Ditching a +100 pounds +" This team always has good challenges. I also decided to start back with another team "Members 50+ with 10-24 Pounds To Lose" challenge "Let's Lose 13 in 2013". Of course I have way more than 10-24 pounds to lose, but Maci one of the team leader encouraged me a while back to join them. It is a great challenge. It doesn't matter really how much you lose as long as you try to lose 13 pounds. I am hoping to lose a lot more by the end of the year. I feel much better since I am getting back on track . I did try to stay with healthy eating during the past 7 weeks, but I had days I couldn't eat or I would emotional eat. I was in a zigzag pattern some weeks. I can tell a difference in how I feel since I am making sure I am eating absolutely as healthy as I can, getting the nutrition I need. I feel better my husband is eating better, too. Exercise is a weakness of his. I have to keep reminding him how important it is to both of us, healthwise. It is a plus for our dog when we walk. emoticon Most of all I thank GOD for loving me and being patient with me during this hard time.

I read this blog Nicole Nichols wrote: "100 Reasons To Workout." emoticon That is part of my challenge with the "Back To School Challenge." I chose to read things that will help me to get back into the healthy living groove. This one was impressive to me. I thought it would be good to share it with everyone. You can highlight this part copy and print it out. I am doing that and hanging one on the refrigerator, one in my little exercise room (a converted small bedroom), and near my computer to remind me.
