Using a food scale

Tuesday, September 10, 2013

Today, for the first time in a long while, I used a food scale. Huzzah! :) I feel good about it. I took a portion of almonds, 1 oz. as the package recommended, and poured it out into a cup. I weighed it on a little plastic scale. It was correct. This could be the start of something good!

Something else that was good: I dragged myself away from TV for a while last night, and went for a swim. Fifteen minutes, with a lot of water-aerobics type stuff. Felt pretty good afterwards. Slept longer as a result. :)

Started taking Metformin again. It made me sick up until two days ago. Now I seem to be leveling off.

Just went to a resume workshop. Also, have an interview tomorrow. Then, volunteering, and on Friday, I'm free. Can't wait to find a job. :)

Thanks. See you later. emoticon

Good job with the food scale - I HAVE to use it, my eyes always weight and measure food to low. I can not take Meformin any longer - had 7 out of the 11 (3 critical) side effects from it. I hope you can continue on it - it is so much less expensive than any other diabetic medicine.
