My health, and the decline of it, has me finally deciding to go back a vegan whole foods type od diet. I had tried it 2 years ago for about 4 months. I felt the best I had in years. But, I ended up giving in to the temptations and the ease of the old standards. How pathetic is that?
As I mentioned in my blurb about who I am...I am maxed out on my BP meds. This past week my BP has been chronically high. I have been suffering with facial and fingertip tingling, headaches and nausea. Enough is enough!!!!!
Starting yesterday I am back to eating a vegan whole foods diet. My kids are cheering me on and my husband is even giving his blessing and encouraging me. They all saw the benefit of this way of eating for me 2 years ago and they have been trying to nudge me back into it ever since.
If it is anything like last time I should start to feel some results in about 3 weeks. The one thing about this diet is I am not to worry so much about calories as before. IT is about eating whole foods with no added fats.
I've already made my menu and shopping list for the week. The husband will happy because there is no tofu in any of it.
