First time I've walked by myself since I started walking almost 8 weeks ago. Was really tempted to just go home and crawl back in bed after taking the boys to school. But I made a deal with myself, that I could just walk to the white sign on the track and be done. I thru a few intervals in to try to hurry up and get it done. When I got to the white sign I looked at the app on my phone and seen that I had almost done a mile at my goal pace of 15 min mile. So I pushed further to hurry up and try to hit that goal. I missed it, hit a 15:24. The fastest pace before today had been 18:??. It was enough to psych me out to go for the 3.1 miles to see what I could do for a 5k. The last 2 miles werent as good but felt satisfied that I had even kept going and kept myself motivated.
