It's not always about the weight loss or the muscle building--I got my first completely fasted cholesterol test this morning(boy was THAT hard I had my smoothie ready to go afterwards)! This was after walking 2 miles to my job where the tests were conducted and my mood was pretty cranky--but the results were more than worth it:
Total cholesterol: 144
HDL: 52 (women should be above 50 mg/dl (
Triglycerides: 61 (less than 150 is optimal)
Blood sugar(fasting): 81
It wasn't so long ago that steak, butter and cream were part of my daily meals, and even then my ch0lesterol was 167. And to get such great readings shows that even consuming coconut oil daily(yummm!!)and my exercise regimen has benefited me greatly--family history of diabetes and heart disease does not have to be my story! I am blessed!!!
