Day 31 of My New Lifestyle

Today is my 31st day of my new lifestyle and I am so excited about everything I am seeing. I started my journey on August 12th after a very discouraging trip to have my wedding dress altered. During the last 31 days I have had my ups and downs, positive days and discouraging days. I have learned so much about myself and what I am capable of these last 31 days. I have a new outlook on food and working out.

6 days ago I began Jillian's 30 Day Shred DVD. Tonight I will complete day 6. It is a tough workout but I know the more I do the better results I will see. I absolutely love this DVD and highly recommend it if you are looking for a kick butt workout at home.

I have completely changed the way I am eating. I try to stick to only fish or chicken as my main meat of the day. I will occasionally have red meat but I personally just prefer fish and chicken. I limit the bread I eat, I don't eat sandwiches (mainly cause I don't really like them). And I have not eaten my favorite office go to meal... Microwave meal! Ultimately I am trying to eat clean but cannot go completely clean because my sweet fiance might lose it if I made something he had never heard of.. I have to ease him into certain things and clean eating is one of them.

I have lost a total of 2.2 lbs in 31 days. No, that isn't much at all, but I'm learning that my results might not be as drastic on the scale as they are in photos and measurements. I took my day 30 photo last night to compare it to day 1 and WOW could I tell a difference! Things are tighter where they should be and I am so excited about it. As far as my measurements go, I have lost .5 inches in my waist, .25 in my hips, and .25 in my thighs. Once again not a whole lot but its progress!

I am so excited about the next 30 days and cannot wait to see my results at day 60... October 11, 2013 I am headed your way in full force!

    emoticon You are doing a fantastic job! And remember, as you tone up you are building muscle, which weighs in more than fat. So while you may not see that scale move, the fact that you are noticing changes in your body proves that you are on the right track!
