Less Daunting go the Calories

Tuesday, September 10, 2013

I've been looking at the Calorie Burning thing ALL WRONG. Here I am thinking I need to burn 920 calories a day... NO! Thank the Four Deities, NO! No, I need only burn 180 calories a day. It's a little less daunting, but still- at this moment, a bit of a task. I haven't gotten anywhere near that, yet.

YET! Not saying I won't, just not sure when I will.

Can someone tell me why we're tracking our steps and have no caloric burn to show for it? That's one of the things about the Fitness tracking I can't wrap my noodle around. Maybe I have to track the walking I do in minutes or something. I have a pretty simple pedometer (which I forgot at Home, today, Gr! I'm doing other tracking in the meantime, no worries.) but I'm not sure how to apply what it shows me to this. I get confused by the MPH in regards to Walking. I'll figure it out.

In any event. I'm looking at ways to start trimming up and burning the calories as I, apparently, need to. Now that I understand the system, I can work with it... I get confused a bit, sometimes, but it hits me and I get it and I work with what I got.

I'm starting to think this can work. I might actually be able to reach my goal in the time advised. I keep thinking it took me a while to get to this point, how can it take me so little time to reverse it? Then I start to think of a time I was driving to an event with my parents. I heard them complain that it takes so long to get there, but it's so much easier coming home. I think that's the idea in slimming down. Once you remember where you prefer to be, the path seems a lot easier or shorter.

Whew! I was a little worried when I saw you needed to cut 920 a day. I think the new number is better and more attainable. Baby steps. You would be surprised with how many calories you can burn. You can do it. If you need a fitness buddy let me know.
