Had a big setback this weekend. I was busy, which is why I didn't blog Friday, and then had a binge on Saturday night. Sunday morning I had a big breakfast at a restaurant, which included hashed browns, and toast with jelly. I am not gonna lie. It was awesome! Of course Sunday night, sanity returned when I weighed in.

This morning I am back down to 209, so not too much damage done. My back pain disappears when I eat higher carbs, so I am going to be eating more carbs, but still below 100 g a day. I still like my eggs, but decided to add a slice of high fiber bread with apple jelly. I realize that this is low carb heresy, but I have been having issues with constipation, and need the fiber. The bread is 19 g of carbs, with 5g coming from fiber. I also am having No Salt peas, and tomatoes with my chicken. This should come to about 87 g of carbs, with 19 g from fiber, so 68 NET carbs. I find that the bread doesn't cause cravings for me. I have been struggling lately, and finding that under 50g of carbs is just too low. This was a lot easier when I had over 100 lbs to lose.

During last week, I went swimming, and heard one of the kids talking about my loose skin. Nothing I can do about it, but it was the last week the pool is open, and I just kind of wish that hadn't happened..lol. It made me feel like $**+. Not one thing all summer, and then that happens on the last day of swimming.

My goal for Friday is to just set a new low weight. Hope everyone has a great week.

    Kids can be cruel, screw 'em. I had 2 kids and have loose skin too but it doesn't stop me from wearing a 2 piece at the beach!

You're doing awesome- Keep It Up!

My weekend was so/so, I had hash browns too and yes, they were good.

    Meh. Kid probably has crappy parents, more's the pity. Sucks to end your summer on a down note, though.

I hope your plan works out. I take it that the grains themselves don't cause you any problems? I'm at the point where I can tell if I've eaten more than a spoonful of wheat 12 hours later. Ouch.

    Russell, Hey YOU have loose skin.......so what ! I lost 40 pounds and you should see MY loose skin. No, I don't like it. I am going to start with arm exercise and some weights to see if it helps tighten up the skin. If not, well I feel better and who said i have to look like I'm 21. I am 79 and feeling better SOooooooooooooo don't worry what people say.....Have a good week, I had a bad w/e with food control also. But am back on track now.

    Russell - I wonder why when you increase your carbs, your back ache goes away. Is that a pancreas oddity?

As for the kids at the pool, kids can just be cruel and thoughtless. Doesn't it take a while for the skin to tighten up? My hairstylist thinks anyone over 50 is 'older than dirt'. I have heard that fish oils helps tighten things up. Of course, I haven't had the nerve to wear a swimsuit for quite a while myself.

    I'm so sad to hear those kids said that. Someone needs to teach them if you haven't got anything nice to say, try not saying anything!
Way to go for getting right back on track after the weekend. Sounds like you're listening to your body and doing what works, that's what it's all about ain't it?

    The world is so fixated on "looks". Very sad that those kids are growing up with superficial ideas like that. Skin is not a person. You are beautiful inside and out.
