Hi, I saw the Urology surgeon today, the same one that operated on me last time and a new report, better than the last one LOL.

80 to 90% of being cancer, so he said he could safely say it is cancer BUT where the cancer is he can do a partial nephrectomy and may not end up on dialysis. If I do end up on dialysis it should only be short term and kidneys should start to work again. Of course I hope he is right and the Neph is wrong. So much more positive. Operation should be in 6 weeks time and be in hospital for a week. Open cut as there are 3 cyst on the bottom of the kidney and he would like to take all of the cysts.

So much better news

Great news, Wendy! And whoever thought a cancer diagnosis could be "great news?" lol
But now you know what they are going to do at least, and this dr didn't deliver it like it was your last day on earth! You've battled through a lot already, Wendy. There is no reason to believe that you won't continue to do so. You Go Girl! We're here for you!

Awww. . . sorry that the diagnosis is what it is, but VERY hopeful that the less drastic surgery is a viable option. THAT'S a good thing. HUGS nnd prayers, sweetie. All positive thoughts.

I pray that everything will be ok.

I'm on dialysis and I can tell you it won't be the end of the world.

But I will pray that you don't have to go on dialysis.

Hugs,
Elaine
