My virtual bike ride across Canada - update

Monday, September 09, 2013

The weather here is sufficiently nice during the summer that I have been walking outside more than riding my stationary bike, but I haven't given it up entirely. To date, I have passed Brooks, AB and am on my way to Medicine Hat. If I could find a pedometer that actually works for me, I'd track my walking miles as well, but so far I haven't found one. I don't know what the problem is. I've tried various ones and I'll count out 200 steps, but the counter will only show something like 63. I guess I must not jiggle it enough or something.

I am totally in love with my Fitbit!! It keeps count of steps and miles and even calories burned AND it sync's with SP!!! It is easy to set up and there are various Fitbits to choose from. I have the Fitbit One. I choose not to get one that kept track of my sleep habits since I can pretty much tell them I do not sleep well. The one I bought from Staples was marked down and then I had a 20% coupon to use so I think I ended up spending $29 or $39.............was back in early spring so can't remember exact price for now.
