Good Day - food, execise, shopping, fun

Good day!! as in Hi and also it was a good day. Nice to have so many supportive comments on my blog, thank you all..

Buddy and I walked for 1 hr. 45 min this am, then I had bubble bath, made healthy lunch, and picked up 3 zucchini.....(anyone have ideas what to do with them?) and then went for my first Conversational English Class with the young Korean who's only been in Canada since Feb... and it was a lot of fun...2 hr, we found lots to talk about. Somehow these ideas came up" "Butterflies in your stomach", jet lag, culture shock, gobsmacked..... don't even ask, eh?

Made SP pork loin recipe for supper and Buddy and I walked again for about 45 min... I am surprised how far I walk now in such a short time... these short legs sure can move... I did notice a difference tonite though, my feet felt the walking on the sidewalk, at the dam, we never feel it at all.

Finished my library book this am too, powerful, very thought-provoking The STone Angel... if I said it was written by DH Lawrence, I made a mistake, it was Margaret Lawrence....

Also stopped over town when I was coming home and picked up a few groceries, stopped at the second hand store and got myself a big old framed Desiderata and a new gold top to go with my sage Sz. 13 jeans I wore today....YEAH ME!!! Have forgot to be celebrating lately..... reminder to self!!! and also a book called, Work Less, Live More...

    emoticon on the new size and all the working you've done. I wonder if SP has a zucchini bread recipe? All of a sudden, I've got a ton of reading to catch up on. Gotta get busy.

    A very cool day..,way to go! Love that you enjoyed working with your Korean student. You are such a caring teacher.!

I don't have a recipe per se for Spanish rice. I use sazon, a seasoning with brown rice. Or I buy Vigo or Goya yellow rice. Both very tasty but low sodium is my choice. Maybe I could mail a box to you if it is not available in PEI.

    yum, zucchini! I have only a little bit left, after practically living on it most of the summer.
You know my favorite way, which I told you about, that is making noodles.
Tonight I made i guess you could call it linguini, then I fried 3 cut up slices of turkey bacon, grated 1 oz light cheddar cheese. I dumped that in the bowl along with some coarse ground pepper, and a healthy sprinkling of montreal steak spice, stirred the whole thing up.
I thought it quite tasty, especially for under 300 calories emoticon Course, I do like strange things ...

    Zucchini is one of my favourite vegetable!

You can put it in a stir-fry , pasta sauce, on pizza, or just sauté it in a little olive oil with onions + salt + pepper.

You can also make zucchini bread....but that' has just a little more calories!!! emoticon
