Recipe for cabbage lasagne...

The recipe was requested, so I thought I would share it here. It turned out super well. The only thing I would add to it is to suggest cutting the cabbage into bite size pieces. It's hard to cut it without a knife if it's left as leaves.

Cabbage Lasagna

INGREDIENTS
1 head of cabbage
1 lb of ground turkey or chicken
1 medium onion chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp basil
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
1cup low-fat mozzarella cheese

DIRECTIONS
Cut cabbage into quarters. Peel, boil for 20 minutes and drain.
Brown turkey with onion and drain. Mix with garlic, oregano and basil.
Put 1/3 of cabbage leaves into bottom of 13x9 baking dish. Cover with 1/3 of meat mixture, 1/3 of spaghetti sauce and 1/3 of cheese.
Repeat layers two more times.
Cook on 350 for 1 hour

  Was the cabbage at all crunchy or just limp? Just wondering. Sounds good though.
