what is the proper motivation?

I am new to sparkpeople and i am hoping that i will stick to it and the goals that i have set. i am going to give it my all and try to get involved in this community of people who might understand me and give me support and i would do the same for them. i am a new mom of a very quickly growing baby girl that i would like to be able to keep up with when she is a toddler. i have other reasons for wanting to lose the weight and be healthier, like wanting to look better and fit into my clothes...etc
