I'm making progress! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I know I'm probably not supposed to weigh myself more than once a week but in the past I've yo-yo'ed all over the place from one day to the next. So I have just had to climb on the scale a couple times this week just to see how things are going. I was amazed to find I've lost 9 lbs in less than a week. Yes, I know some will say it was all water and not to get too excited yet but I am on a daily diuretic and blood pressure med sooooooo I think some of it is actual weight melting away. My body tells me I'm doing things right. I feel better already. I know it's a small step on my journey but oh gosh it feels good. I went for a walk with my 4 yr old grandson today to our local park. Not a big walk. Just over half a mile round trip but yet it was more than I've done in the past and it felt good. I realized today that it took me 18 yrs to reach the weight I'm at now. My current weight is twice what I weighed then. I've gained another whole person and I'm so tired of her I will do whatever it takes to toss that fat girl off my back. Get ye gone chubby Cheryl.     They say not to weigh yourself every day but I do. I can see they way my weight varies from day to day and also learn what makes me gain weight immediately. Salt is my enemy! I can't see why it hurts as long as we keep these things in mind and don't get obsessed by the scale!

    I love that you wrote "My body tells me I'm doing things right. I feel better already." It's amazing at how our body responds when we treat it well, isn't it?

    Congratulations on taking that walk, on making healthy choices, on getting that "extra person" to melt away. You're doing great. Keep up the good work!!!

    Wow, that's a great loss to see on the scale. I too fluctuate quite a bit and water plus how well you purge has a lot to do with the quick gains or drops. I have a weigh in at the weight loss clinic this week and the weight is down from the last weigh in so I'm looking forward to the fancy scale they have. Keep on keeping on your good feel mode as there will be ups and downs along the way. Thanks for sharing your success as I take a lot of positive away from reading the blogs of success stories.
