My goals can be broken down into 3 parts, which is unusual for me...

1 ~ In this next challenge, I want to lose 6#, which will be enough to make me under 200 pounds. This will be the first time I weighed that little in 2 decades or so.

2 ~ My big-picture goal is to lose another 20 or so. This one is harder to define because I'm not sure what the timeline is like. I want to lose the weight by the time my older son gets married, but since he hasn't even asked her yet, who knows what date they'll set. Could be five months, could be two years. My oldest nephew got married 2 years ago, and all I can remember is my sister telling me how uncomfortable she was in the new dress she bought, because her excess weight was starting to slow her down at that point. When my man-child get married, I don't want how I look, or the inability to do the things I want to do, uppermost in my mind: I want to enjoy myself.

3 ~ my goals for the challenge will also include trying new things. Maybe a week of trying a new SP recipe every day, or a new exercise routine. I feel a need to shake it up a bit, and autumn in always a good time to do that.

I like the fact that your goals are so attainable. It means that you're setting yourself up for success, and there's nothing like success to buoy you up and make you confident, so that you build on it for more success.

I have found that the close teamwork I've found in the BLC has kept me not only motivated, but interested. My children get bored if I waffle on about my exercise classes, my dear Azuritas never! I was new last round, and I've always been rather solitary, this is the first time that I've felt at home in a team.

    One of the things I enjoyed most about BLC was the new things it encouraged me to try.

I also lost weight for my son's wedding and definitely felt so much better because of it. I know that goal of losing for the wedding helped me - hope it helps keep you motivated. emoticon

    Another interesting blog Becca. You are right shaking things up keeps us interested. I am at the point that I have to look at doing some different exercise classes for that very reason. New recipes is good too. There are so many to choose from that will be the hard part!!! You will be I. The 100's very soon. Way to go....you have been working very hard at this!!
