I know them, all too well. The mid-afternoon cravings for sweets. The evening glass(es) of wine. My best way to avoid them is to not have them around. So today, in my effort to avoid temptation, I walked right past the sweet and beverage aisle at the store and focused on only getting what was on my list. It's only 1:00 in the afternoon, however, and the cravings aren't that strong. Once they hit, I'll go outside. Walk the dog, or plant something. Anything, except run to the nearest store. Distract me, please!

Make a list, have a plan, stock the pantry with healthy snacks. You can indulge in wonderful tasting foods you just have to learn to make them yourself so you know what is in them. Find some new recipes and try them out.
