The first few cooler days hit NH last week. And that signal of fall always puts me in the mood to cook.
I took a look around and realized that now that we are back in school-work mode, I was out of basics. So a trip to the grocery store and the warehouse club put us back in business. A big bag of frozen chicken breasts and frozen veggies restocked the freezer. And I'm super excited that our order of freezer beef from a farm in VT is coming soon. Grass-fed beef!
We had friends over for dinner - yummy ribs, green tossed salad, potato salad too. Even had a rack of ribs that I stashed in the freezer for a later date.
Sunday, we took a nice 2/5 mile walk out in the woods along the snow mobile trails. After we got back I did some garden clean up: dug up the potatoes, picked some more tomatoes and tomatillos, cucumbers. I picked and cooked a spaghetti squash and a buttercup squash and we had those for dinner with rib eye steak.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
