I didn't do as well as I wanted to over the weekend.

I had every intention to stick to my program this weekend, but we went to a wedding and a birthday party on Saturday. And yesterday went well until the afternoon, but I didn't actually do too bad. I gained .6 for the whole weekend which is better than normal, but I would really love to lose on a weekend!

It does however make me happy about going to work on Monday, because I know the only food here is the food I bring.

How do you handle the weekend?

    I struggle a lot during the weekends because there are too many choices. At work, my only food is what I bring so it isn't hard to stay on my plan. Even of the evenings, I am pretty good at keeping to my plan, but all of that goes out the window on weekends.

    I also struggle on the weekends for lack of structure. Even if I have healthy food in my fridge, I tend to stray when on the go which is usually the weekends. I've read about other members here always having packed snacks available but I'm not that good. And confession time here: I can't go into a food place and order healthy; I just get what I want. Which, thanks to dating, it works against me once in awhile. BUT that's why I don't eat out often on my own. Ugh. It's a struggle. But back to the packed snacks...I had to giggle because I pictured you & Reggie walking into the wedding with your own coolers of healthy food, lol. NOT realistic I know!! What also helps me is that Saturdays are my long run days so I know I have to refuel with healthy stuff rather than not so healthy.

Take it in stride Robin because while I know you're ready to lose, .6 isn't too bad. Planning ahead helps. Maybe eat a healthy meal before you hit a social event you're going to that way you're full and not so tempted to eat all the goodies...which I would, lol, just to sample them ;)

We might hit some speed bumps, but we keep right on going!

    .6 isn't bad. That will be gone by tomorrow. No worries. If you made the best choices you could in the situation you were in then it is all good.

I love weekends -- I get a high carb day on Saturday and a free day on Sunday. Double score. :)
