Trying something

Monday, September 09, 2013

So, I am trying to be a little bit more proactive about my diet. Yesterday, I did some shopping and prepared a week's worth of salads and other healthy foods so hopefully I'll have plenty of healthy options close at hand and hopefully that will eliminate most of the other stuff I manage to make for myself. Fingers crossed that it will actually work the way I envision. I do know I am going out with a friend on Wednesday, but other than that I intend to eat healthy for all the rest of the days this week. If I am serious and actually see some progress at the end of this week, hopefully that will motivate me to keep it up the week after that.

I've been bouncing around within 10 pounds of my current weight for the majority of my adult life. That tells me that I am going to have to eat significantly less on a regular basis in order to force the scale to move. Even after I get the weight down to where I want it, it's going to require life changes to keep it down, but I think it's worth doing. I don't want to ever have to feel like I can't wear something because I feel fat.

Anybody want to volunteer to annoy me by checking in on my progress very frequently?

Haha, oh I am an AWESOME check-in-er! Consider it done! And I am in the same boat as you struggling on how to eat less.

Great idea to get some meals made for the week! I think it really helps to have some healthy pre-prepared foods to choose from. I'll also check in on you to see how you're doing :)

I think no matter what weight I am, there will always be occasions where I feel like I look fat!

I make a week's worth of healthy lunches on Sunday and bring to work with me on Monday. This week I made chili and have brown rice to go underneath it. YUM.

GOOD LUCK with your new effort!!

I don't think you necessarily have to eat LESS, but you have to eat MORE foods that are better for you :)

I eat SO much when I eat veggies for very little calories compared to the same volume of fatty high-calorie food. I started tracking again today, so I can help ya out by "annoying" you lol.
