We headed out to East Texas on Saturday to Volksmarch. Most of the trail is along Nana Bayou.

Nice entrance marker.

Trail along the bayou.

Bridge over the bayou leads under the weeping Cyprus arbor into Mize Azalea Garden which wasn't blooming. The Azaleas bloom in March (usually). The plants are shaded by these huge Loblolly Pines.

After the hike/bike trail we head back to the start via the College Campus. This is a nice fountain/statue with Stephen F. Austin.

    I have distant relatives in Nacogdoches...thanks for sharing photos of the area. Sounds like March would be the time to visit.
